Automate Daily Tasks On Your Phone With Microsoft's Android App,On{X}
Microsoft surprisingly,recently launched an app exclusively for android that lets your phone automatically do things from telling your family and friends where you are to telling you how many calories you have burnt while walking or jogging.
Microsoft rarely gives things for free but you won't pay a single dime to have it.The app is available on Play store for free.
The app uses rules that Microsoft refers to as "Recipes"It lets you modify already created template recipes and or create your own recipes.
Here is how it works.The recipe(rule) contains a trigger event and an action that occurs when the event happens.For example you can set the phone to begin playing music when you when you start driving or remind you to go to the gym if you have missed for 2 days or turn on you Wi-Fi when you are at your workplace.
You can set your phone to send a text message to your fiance when your phone battery is low or set your phone to ring the third time when someone calls consecutively when your phone is in silent mode.You can modify existing recipes to meet your requirements however you need to know some JavaScript to create your own rules.
The app has tons of triggers to play around with like reminders based on time variable or automatic responses.
There are other apps out there with similar similar functionalities but On{X} stands out.It's definitely worth installing on your phone.
It's pretty easy to get started,just download the app from Play Store and login with your Facebook account then follow the instructions. Once you are done go to On{X} website ,login with your Facebook account and in a few seconds you will be setting up and adding rules on your phone.
All rules added are automatically pushed to your phone in real time.
